2011 Sale Review (including short video)

The 2011 Orange Bird Sale once again turned out to be a fantastic success.

5448 birds were benched which is an amazing (and loud) number of birds from 347 bird sellers. 2011 saw the largest variety of birds offered with something for everyone from macaws, amazons, to some of the not so common finches and parrot mutations.

The 25 trade stands provided ample opportunity to stock up on all your avicultural products for another 12 months.

An approx. 1850 people walked through the doors which provided a great atmosphere and a chace to catchup with people you only see once a year.

This year also saw a number of new members to Orange Bird Society pitch in which made a huge positive diffence to the running of sale.

Once again a number of other kind people from out of town rolled their sleaves up and helped with the finishing touches on Friday which is always much appreciated.

Just a quick note that the 2011 sale will be the last sale at the current venue - the 2012 bird sale will be at 1 of 2 places which we haven't confimed yet but will let everyone know later in the year.

Thankyou to all bird sellers, traders, club members and people that came to buy and look at birds. Without all the help and support it just wouldn't be possible.

See below for a short video taken in the main hall followed by some pictures taken on the day.
